  Actor Ben Affleck’s “Gone Girl” and Benedict Cumberbatch starrer “The Imitation Game” were the top gainers at the Hollywood Film Awards with the former winning the Hollywood Film Award and latter taking away four awards including prizes for actor and director.

The 18th annual film awards were held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles Friday, reportscontactmusic.com

Cumberbatch won the award for Hollywood Actor with actress Keira Knightley walking away with award for supporting actress, Morten Tyldum for director and Alexandre Desplat for composer.

“Gone Girl”, which also stars Rosamund Pike, also won the awards in the categories – screenwriting and sound. Gillian Flynn, who wrote the novel, won the screenwriter award for her adaptation.

Knightley looked elegant in a floor length white gown with black embellishments and Cumberbatch rocked his usual dapper look in a black suit while accepting the award. 

Other winners include actor Jack O’Connell who won the New Hollywood Award for his role in Angelina Jolie’s film “Unbroken”.
