Los Angeles, Oct 28 (IANS) Actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who is keen to direct, is searching for a perfect project.
The “Brokeback Mountain” is producing “Nightcrawler”, but he also has his sights set on directing a movie.
“I’m searching… but I have yet to feel presumptuous enough. (I’ll know when it found it) when my heart lines up with the material… in a visual way,” variety.com quoted Gyllenhaal as saying.
The actor explains he understands the process of filmmaking because his father, Stephen, is a director and his mother, Naomi Foner, is a producer and screenwriter.
“The language I knew was behind the camera. I’ve always been fascinated by the abrasion of what’s in front of the camera and behind the camera,” he added.
