According to IANS reports, Hansal Mehta who last directed “Citylights”, will next wield the megaphone for a women-centric film.

Generally Hansal doesn’t talk much about his project in their initial stage but if everything go well, his next will be a women-centric film.”

However, Mehta says,”It’s too early to talk about it. I cannot reveal anything right now. I am still writing the script.” The director was recently in news when he announced that he may cast the National Award winning actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who was recently caught in a prostitution racket, in his next film.

When he asked about casting her be in this women-centric project, he replies, “There is too much of speculation right now. I would not want to talk about my project at the moment,” he said.

Recently, Mehta had also met actress Kangana Ranaut and there were reports that he had approached her for his film. But brushing all reports aside, Mehta said: “These are all speculative reports. When you meet actors and discuss things, it doesn’t mean something is happening.”

Meanwhile, ever since news of Shweta Basu Prasad’s arrest in connection with a “high profile sex racket” broke out, the actress has become the subject of intense public scrutiny.

However, Mehta spoke out in support of the actress on his micro-blogging page and even went on to announce plans to cast Shweta in his next film.

“Stop posting pictures of Shweta. Put out the pictures of her wealthy clients and the pimp. Expose the scum bags not the soft target. I intend to offer Shweta Prasad a role in my next film. She was so good in Makdee,” posted Hansal Mehta.
