Popular comedy show FIR will see Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala (Kavita Kaushik) in a foul mood. Her colleagues will try every trick to lift her spirits, but won’t succeed very easily.
While Gulgule (Kiku Sharda) calls Chautala up, pretending to be her childhood friend, Billu (Sandeep Anand) gets her to play her favourite game — seven stones/pittu. But unfortunately, both of them fail miserably. When it’s Gopinath Gandotra’s (Gopi Bhalla) turn to cheer up his boss, he behaves like a person attacked by street dogs.
Says Gopi, “I was told to act in a hassled manner and wear a tattered uniform. So, I asked a spot boy to get my shirt a bit torn. But when he brought it back, it was literally shredded and I had no choice but to wear it. The entire team was in splits when they saw me in that funny attire.
Recently,F.I.R completes a hugely successful stint of 8 glorious years on television on Aug 1. The show is one of the longest running comedy shows in the history of Indian television industry. The show captivates its loyal audience with its different characters and their unique mannerisms.
Chandramukhi’s dashing style and fearless attitude coupled with Gopi’s funny way of twisting English and Hindi has appealed to audiences across the length and breadth of the country. This popular TV series that started entertaining audiences in the year 2006 also recently underwent a format change to include a ‘live audience’ in the show.
