A building in Andheri, Mumbai which is the edit studio of Comedy Nights With Kapil, caught fire today morning at 9.30 am.
Preeti Simoes, Creative Director of the show said, “Our edit room is on the sixth floor of the building. Though fire fighters have told us that the fire won’t reach our floor and that it will be controlled before that, we are worried as all our footage is there. We have a big weekend with Virat Kohli and the Pathan brothers (Irfan and Yusuf) episode and the master of the episode should have been out today. My major concern is that the footage of this episode isn’t damaged. We will know the exact status in a few hours. I received the call informing me about the fire at around 11 am. The tape, which has Virat Kohli’s episode, is in the studio.”
The original set of Kapil Sharma‘s Comedy Nights With Kapil was gutted by fire last September.
Comedy Nights with Kapil is one of the most watched, loved and high ranking shows on Indian Television. Almost every Bollywood celebrity wants to promote their film on Comedy Nights With Kapil due to its immense popularity.
Kapil has bagged a three film contract and talent management deal with Yash Raj Films and makes his debut with Yash Raj Film’s Y-Film’s Bank Chor. Kapil Sharma along with Deepika Padukone won the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013 for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
