Colors’ new show Shastri Sisters

Colors launches a new show, Shastri Sisters. Shakuntalam Telefilms‘ Shastri Sisters will project the sweet bonding of four sisters. The show follows the life of Shastri sisters as they make their journey from small town of Kanpur to national capital, Delhi. The show will air every Monday to Saturday from 21 Jul at 7.00 pm.

Shashtri sisters promises to throw light on all aspects of the lives of these sisters where their bond, their emotional as well as their fun side will be projected. The show is going to connect to the real audience with its simplicity of the storyline and the characters.

The role of four sisters will be played by – Neha Pednekar (Alka), Ishita Ganguly (Anushka), Sonal Vengurlekar (Devyani ) and Pragati Chourasiya (Peeya )

Alka, Anushka, Devyani and Peeya find their lives changing drastically as they follow their father, Narayan Shastri (played by Rajesh Jais), who transfers to New Delhi for his government job. Facing the new world head on, smiling through not-so-easy moments of life, collectively, the Shastri Sisters become each other’s biggest strengths. Together they learn to navigate the unfamiliar streets and ways of the big city, often finding themselves in chuckle worthy and sometimes poignant situations.

With a fresh cast and relatable characters, Shastri Sisters includes strong actors portraying pivotal characters such as the do-gooder Delhi-based landlord Mr. Sareen (Girish Sehdev), popularly known as ‘Lalaji’ in the moholla who loves his daily dose of whiskey.Minty Sareen (Neelu Kohli) is the snobbish and stubborn wife of the landlord, the gossip queen of the neighbourhood and the proud mother of two sons Rajat (Vijayendra Kumeria) and Neel (Sumit Bhardwaj).
